Following NUAA's official notice, the 2021 Qing Ming Festival will take place from 3rd to 5th April, 2021.
To ensure that all the students have a safe and enjoyable holiday, you are advised to bear in mind the following safety regulations.
Campus Safety Reminders
1. Adhere to all school rules and regulations and if possible do not leave school before the holiday or return back to school late after the holiday.
2. Overstaying one's visa or residence permit is strictly prohibited. International students overstaying will be considered as illegal residents and will be fined 500 RMB per day, with a maximum amount of 10,000 RMB, or be detained for no less than five days and not more than 15 days. Illegal residents shall be deported and will not be allowed to enter China for one to five years starting from the date of deportation.
3. Motorcycles are forbidden on campus. Students violating this rule will be penalized and have their motorcycles detained.
4. Take good care of your health and stay hydrated. Be mindful of food hygiene and sanitation.
5. To prevent theft or loss of items, do not leave your personal belongings unattended.
6. Reckless drinking, misconduct after drinking, driving under the influence of alcohol is a violation of school policy and is subject to disciplinary action. If a student has acquired any scholarship but violated any one of the rules, he or she will also be disqualified from receiving their scholarship.
7. Be aware of phone scams. Government departments, public security bureaus and judicial offices of China will never request for bank transfers or information over the phone.
8. If you have any further questions, please seek out relevant staff on campus.
Dormitory Safety Precautions
1. Using lighters, matches, candles and smoking are prohibited in the dormitory.
2. It is similarly prohibited to use high power appliances, such as electric kettle, hair dryer, hair straightener, rice cooker, electric hotpot, and electric mug. Electric heating appliances like: electric blanket are also not allowed.
3. Check the electric switches, sockets and wiring and inform the Ayi of any damaged or exposed cables. Don't plug in too many electrical appliances in one socket and do not over-charge your phone or powerbank.
4. Make sure the electrical appliances like: table lamp, electric charger and computers are not covered with anything and they are not over-heated.
5. While leaving the dorm, turn off all the switches and electrical appliances. Also, unplug the cables/plugs from the electric sockets.
6. Keep books and paper away from the power supply and electrical appliances. Do not pile them up in your dormitory.
7. Make sure that the room is clean and is in order, and that no waste is piled up in the room.
8. You are advised not to store a large number of flammable items such as mosquito repellents, firecrackers, laboratory material and perfumes, or explosive gas containers, such as: liquefied gas tanks etc. Also, storage of any alcohol, including any types of liquor is also prohibited.
COVID-19 Prevention Tips
1. Please cooperate with university management measures. Identities and temperature will be checked when entering the school gates.
2. During the holiday, you are suggested to abide by the principle of "Not Going Out Unless Necessary" and not to travel out of Jiangsu province. Students who need to leave Nanjing or Liyang City for certain reasons must apply in advance in the “i·NUAA" APP. Avoid going to medium and high-risk areas. Avoid contacting with people from medium and high-risk areas. Before returning to school, apply for coming back in the "i·NUAA” APP again.
3. Please continue to do daily health report before 2pm every day.
