Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) is a leading Chinese institution known for its excellence in engineering sciences, including Aeronautics, Astronautics, and Mechanical Engineering, as well as Economics and Management. Among the first national universities authorized to confer doctoral, master, and bachelor degrees, NUAA has been recognized under both the "National Project 211" and the "Double First-Class" initiatives.
Undergraduate Program
NUAA is one of the first few universities in China offering English taught undergraduate programs in engineering and business majors since 2005. NUAA currently offers 6 international undergraduate programs instructed in both English and Chinese with duration of 4 years. Qualified graduates are awarded graduation diploma and bachelor degree.

How to Apply
Take the Chinese Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) at www.csca.cn.
CSCA test is mandatory for every application. The test score should be supplemented Before May 30, 2026.
Engineering programs: Mathematics and Physics, both in English.
Business program: Mathematics, in English.
Create your admission account
Visit https://nj.at0086.cn/StuApplication/Login.aspx and Sign Up.
Upload documents & pay the application fee
Upload: Official CSCA results, passport photo page, highest diploma, transcript, study plan, physical-exam form, non-criminal record and other documents as required.
Pay the 400 RMB application fee (non-refundable).
Check your application status regularly.
Most applications will be reviewed within 1-2 weeks. Any time there is an update to your admission status, you will receive an email notification directing you to the application portal.
Download admission package
Once “Admitted” shows, click “Download” to get:
– Admission Letter (pdf)
– JW201/JW202 visa form (pdf)
Print both in colour; you need the originals for the visa.
Apply for X visa at the Chinese Embassy or Consulate General
Application Documents
Passport front page (and current Chinese visa if already in China)
Senior-high diploma or notarized copy. Applicants who will graduate in 2026 can provide pre-graduation letter instead. The original diploma shall be submitted upon registration.
Original or notarized copy of transcripts for all the courses in senior high school
Two signed recommendation letters from high-school teachers with contact details
Official CSCA results (Physic and Maths scores are required for engineering programs; Maths score is required for business program.)
Personal statement (no more than 800 words), including personal introduction, reasons for application and individual advantages
Non-Criminal letter

Language proficiency certificate
* Chinese-taught programs: HSK4 or above;
* English-taught program: IELTS (6.0 or above), TOEFL (70 or above) or equivalent English proficiency letter.
Financial guarantee letter or bank statement

Application Procedure
Applicants for Chinese Government Scholarship should directly contact the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in their home country. When completing the scholarship application form, the applicant should list NUAA as their first choice (Agency Code:10287)
Applicants for Nanjing Government Scholarship or NUAA Fly-High Scholarship should choose the right Scholarship Type while applying online.
Selection Criteria
The scholarship is based on academics, background, experience, and CSCA score.
Renewal & Next Steps
Chinese Government Scholarship and Jiangsu Government Scholarship renews annually if academic & conduct requirements are met.
Nanjing Government Scholarship and NUAA Fly-High Scholarship are single-year awards. From Year 2 onward, all students may compete for NUAA Academic Scholarship (up to 10,000 RMB) based on annual GPA and comprehensive review.

You are encouraged to apply as early as possible to give yourself the best chance of receiving an admission offer and scholarship opportunity. Grade 12 students may apply using final Grade 11 transcripts plus any available Grade 12 marks and update immediately when final grades are released.
