How to Apply for NUAA Undergraduate Program


1. Application Eligibility

(1) Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport in compliance with the provisions of the Nationality Law of the People's Republic of China.

(2) Applicants should be at the age of 18 - 28 years old (applicants under the age of 18 should submit the notarized letter of Guardian's Guarantee).

(3) Applicants should have a high school diploma or above.

(4)  Applicants should meet the following language proficiency requirements:

*Chinese-taught programs: HSK4 or above;

*English-taught program: IELTS (5.5 or above), TOEFL (70 or above) or English proficiency letter.

Note: Applicants who have given up their original Chinese citizenship and become foreign citizens before April 30, 2018, and must have lived abroad for more than 2 years in recent 4 years (more than 9 months of residence abroad per year can be considered as one year).

 

2. Application Time

January 1, 2023 to June 30, 2023

Note: Scholarship applicants should submit applications before May 30. For scholarship details, refer to the Scholarships for specific requirements.

 

3. Application Process

(1) Online application portal

Visit https://nj.at0086.cn/StuApplication/Login.aspx, complete the online application as required, and pay the registration fee of 400 RMB.

Note: The application fee is NOT refundable.

i. If you qualify for admission (and/or)

ii. If you qualify for a First year full tuition fee waiver or partial scholarship 



 

(2) Online test

An online test or interview will be held based on the applicant's educational background. Details will be given in the further notice.

 

(3) Visa application

Before entering China, enrolled applicants should submit the PassportAdmission NoticeVisa Application Form for Foreign Students in ChinaForeigner Physical Examination Form and other relevant materials to apply for a student visa (X1 or X2) from the Chinese Embassy or Consulate entrusted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China according to his/her study period.


4. Mandatory Documents

(1) Clear scan copy of passport front page.

(2) Original or notarized copy of senior high school diploma. Applicants who will graduate in 2022 can provide a pre-graduation certificate instead. The original or notarized diploma shall be submitted upon registration.

(3) Original or notarized copies of transcripts for all the courses in senior high school;

(4) Two letters of recommendation from high school teachers, with signature and contact;

(5) Personal statement (no more than 800 words), including personal introduction, reasons for application, and  individual advantages;

(6) Non-Criminal record certificate (If it is unavailable due to COVID-19, the applicant can provide a non-criminal record commitment in handwriting);

(7) Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form;

(8) Language proficiency certificate;

(9) Financial Guarantee Letter or bank statement of financial guarantor.

Note: Documents should be in English/Chinese or supplemented by notarized English/Chinese translations.
